Billain – Blockfield / Boogie [Preview]
Keep your ears peeled for Billain’s new tracks “Blockfield” and “Boogie” set for joint release on March the 25th on Bad Taste Recordings. The esteemed Bosnian producer, who cites everyone from avant-garde composer Xenakis to The Prodigy as influences, has been a big name on the Sarajevo electronic scene since the late 90′s. A reputation based in part on his role, along with fellow members of legendary D&B collective “Kontra”, in bringing some of the biggest names in the business to the country for the first time.
Judging by the “Boogie” preview, this latest release is going to be huge: pristine production values combined with a tidy beat and Billain’s trademark warped, distorted bass sounds are sure to make for one of 2013′s definitive international floor fillers. And the so far unheard “Blockfield”, Bad Taste Recordings promise, is just as outrageous. So, roll on March the 25th, ’cause I can’t wait for this beaut.
